Audi A4 Premium launched in India

Audi has sent along a premium bundle to acknowledge a fantastic year! The Audi A4 Premium was introduced to make the luxury premium sedan even more accessible to people who want to purchase a four-ringed vehicle. In terms of cost, the Audi A4 Premium has a slightly altered equipment list and appears to fight directly against the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.

What's interesting with Audi A4 Premium?

The A4 Premium has no changes from the other two types, in terms of exterior design. It has the same mature and polished exteriors as the facelifted model that was released earlier this year. 

Because the Audi A4 Premium receives slightly different features than the Premium Plus and Technology variants, the differences are found in the equipment list. In the entry-level Premium variant, the three-zone automatic air conditioning and 30-color contour ambient lighting have been replaced by a single-zone automatic aircon unit and single-color ambient lighting. In addition, the A4 Premium comes with six airbags rather than the normal eight found on higher-end models. 

Other than this, all the features like cruise control with speed limiter, electrically adjustable front seats with four-way lumbar support, electrically adjustable heated ORVMs with heating and anti-glare function, Parking Aid Plus, rear parking camera, Audi Drive Select, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Audi Smartphone Interface, Audi Sound System, and wireless charging are remaining intact. 

The Premium misses out on Audi's Virtual Cockpit Plus digital instrument cluster, multi-zone temperature control, multi-colored ambient lighting, gesture-based boot opening, and five-spoke 'dynamic style' alloy wheels when compared to the top-spec Technology edition.

Engine and transmission of the Audi A4 Premium

The 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine in the Audi A4 produces 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The engine comes standard with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels exclusively. The A4 claims to accomplish the 0-100kph sprint in 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 241kph.

Audi A4 Premium price tag

The all-new Audi A4 Premium wears a starting price tag of Rs 39.99 lakh, and the Audi A4 Premium is priced lower than the Premium Plus and Technology variants, pitting it against the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. This makes Audi A4 Premium significantly less expensive than its competitors like BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Jaguar XE.
