Tesla in India – Future Plans

Tesla’s entry into India has been delayed due to import duty negotiations with the government. The company is expected to first launch through imported CBUs (completely built units).

If demand is strong, Tesla may set up local manufacturing or assembly plants in India to reduce costs. The government may also provide EV incentives and tax rebates to promote adoption.
