Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

Maruti India launched the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Wagon R in India back on 23 January 2019.

Engine and Transmission

It comes with two petrol engines: a 1-liter (68PS/90Nm) and a 1.2-litre (83PS/113 Nm) engine. Both engines are compatible with 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions. The Wagon R also comes with a CNG model with a 1-liter engine (59PS/78Nm) and a 5-speed manual transmission.

The following are the claimed fuel economy figures:

21.79 kmpl for a 1-liter MT/AMT
32.52 km/kg for a liter of CNG
20.52 kmpl 1.2-litre MT/AMT

Exterior design

The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R's dimensions are 3,655mm in length, 1,620mm in width, and 1,675mm in height, with a 2,435mm wheelbase.

Body-colored bumpers, ORVMs, and door handles, front fog lights, electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs, rear wiper and washer, roof-mounted antenna, and 14-inch steel wheels with complete wheel coverings are among the exterior features of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R.

Interior design

A dual-tone interior theme, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the signature SmartPlay Studio, tilt-adjustable steering, steering-mounted controls, keyless entry, all four power windows, and silver door handles are all standard on the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a speed warning system, a seat-belt reminder system, a speed-sensing door lock, and seat-belt pretensioners with load limiters are all included in the model.

Safety

Some of the basic safety features on the Wagon R include a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

The Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro, Datsun GO, and Maruti Suzuki Celerio are all competitors.
