Hyundai Kona Electric

The Kona Electric will be "India's First Real Electric SUV," according to Hyundai. The electric version is set to debut in India on July 9th.

Engine and features 
The Kona EV is offered in two powertrain variants in the international market, each with distinct power outputs and driving ranges. The 39.2kWh battery pack in the Short Range model delivers a range of 300 kilometers. It has a maximum power output of 133 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.3 seconds. The Long Range variant is equipped with a 64kWh battery pack that provides a 470km range. It has 201 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.6 seconds. The 39.2kWh battery pack takes around 6 hours to completely charge, while the 64kWh battery pack takes roughly 9 hours.

Charging
In 57 minutes, the 50kW fast charger can charge the battery to 80% capacity. A complete charge of the 7.2kW AC wall-box charger for household installation takes 6 hours and 10 minutes. It also includes a compact, portable 2.8kW charger that can be put into a standard wall outlet to completely charge the Kona Electric in around 19 hours.

Electric Driving Modes
It is equipped with a single-speed gearbox. Eco, Eco+, Comfort, and Sport modes can be used to change the driving characteristics. The amount of regenerative braking is controlled via paddles behind the steering wheel.

Safety
Six airbags, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, hill assist control, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX child seat anchoring, a rear camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are all standard on the Hyundai Kona Electric. It also incorporates a simulated engine sound system to alert passersby to the presence of the quiet electric vehicle.

Rivals
